How Do I Help My Kinesthetic Learner With Algebra?
How Do I Help My Kinesthetic Learner With Algebra? My question is how do I help my kinesthetic learner with algebra? He has no experience in mathematics and is just a beginner. He is sitting in the class right now, but he is looking around nervously waiting for something to happen that will change his fate. But how can I help my kinesthetic learner with math? How can I make him take something that he already knows? What can I teach him so that he is ready for algebra when the time comes? I am willing to learn, but I need some guidance.I have a plan. I have a plan to teach him math and it's simple. In order to help my kinesthetic learner with math I need to use an activity that helps him think. I want to put math into his brain and let him know that there is a lot of math going on out there, but I want him to understand that math is all about finding patterns and then understanding those patterns.I want to help him see that math is a field of study. When he learns about calculus, he can understand that it is the science of finding patterns. In order to do this, I'm going to use math. The way to do this is to show him that math is all about patterns. We'll start with the basic math. The problem for him is that he is only learning these simple mathematical activities from a textbook. The best way to help him is to get him thinking about pattern. I've found away to do this and I am doing it.

Columbus Day
Columbus Day On Monday October 14th we will celebrate another Columbus Day. Although Columbus Day is actually the 12th, we celebrate it on the 14th so we get another three day weekend. Yeah, lets hear it for more holidays. Now I do not want to be one of those American history haters, although I was disappointed when I learned, in college, half the stuff I learned as a child was made up. Itâs kind of like politics now, and then. In 1492 Columbus sailed the ocean blue ⦠yada yada yadaâ¦. Well OK what is the historical Columbus then? Iâm glad you asked, but I will leave out the gory details. For starters, as we all know, his first trip of discovering America was actually to find a route to the markets of eastern Asia. His success of this new route would have made him very wealthy. Of course what he did discover was the Caribbean, which at the time didnât offer much in the way of riches in gold or trades. Because he didnât really know where he was, the populace of the new world were called Indians, old Columbus thought he was in India. Columbus called the island (in what is now The Bahamas) San Salvador. What ever actual island in the Bahamas he landed on is an unresolved topic; some possibilitys are Samana Cay, Plana Cays, or San Salvador Island (named San Salvador in 1925 in the belief that it was Columbus San Salvador). Since he ended up where he did, he had a theory, which he held onto his entire life, that was, not only is the earth not flat (not news by then) but it was pear shaped. This would explain his misguided adventure to the new lands. As we know he made a total of four trips to the new world, with colonization along the way. Including some raping and pillaging here and there. Columbus has been vilified and praised depending on whom and where, in history, you ask. He was a bit of both seemingly. He was an amazing sailor and navigator. He was a great captain and a horrible governor. He was kind to some Indians and horrible and cruel to others, as slavery was one of the profit ventures he partook in. Many of the things he was blamed for had nothing to do with him though. The looting and slaughtering of thousandsâ of natives of the Aztec and Inca nations were done by Conquistadors that had merely followed in Columbus footsteps. So the whole thing can be confusing as to celebrating Columbus Day. But this depends on your own point of view. Iâd love to share mine, but wonât. Either way itâs a day off. And that is worth celebrating!

Based on the concept of the holistic learning process, Roong Aroon aims to provide a more natural environment and to promote creative practices that help encourage children at each age level to attain their own learning potential. Subjects are integrated into project-based learning modules, each over one trimester. Teaching and planning is collaborative, and there are frequent presentation and performance opportunities for students to demonstrate their achievements. The school is situated on fifty rai (twenty acres) of land on the outskirts of Bangkok in the Bangkhuntien district. The site is remote from the crowded and dense inner city. The buildings are grouped by department, and are nestled in a natural environment, with surroundings that are landscaped with abundant and airy greenery, fully accessible to all the students. Most of the area is developed to cater to both outdoor and indoor learning activities, supplemented by regular off-campus field study. Additionally, the school works diligently to have a low environmental impact. A schoolwide, multifaceted recycling programme has been in place for over a decade with continual improvements. Our school is a thriving community. Parents, teachers, and staff participate closely together to create a variety of lively and supportive activities. We believe that by maintaining a warm atmosphere among our own team of teachers, workers, parents, and children, the growth of a cultivated community is certain to be developed and sustained. An Introverts Guide to Turning Your Side Hustle into Your Full-time Job - Introvert Whisperer
Introvert Whisperer / An Introverts Guide to Turning Your Side Hustle into Your Full-time Job - Introvert Whisperer An Introverts Guide to Turning Your Side Hustle into Your Full-time Job Being an introvert in our society requires an immense level of resiliency. This can be attributed to the fact that society naturally makes it difficult for introverts to succeed, whether that be in social or professional situations. These environments are prime for overlap, most notably in corporate life, where oftentimes itâs not always what you know but who you know: something extroverts are adept at embracing and something introverts are known for struggling with. Itâs no surprise then that many introverts donât end up sticking around their corporate jobs for too long, even if they map their careers out perfectly. They usually end up leaving for a non-profit organization or a more purposeful form of employment, such as a side hustle business that turns into their full-time job, in search of something a corporate life could never deliver. Why Corporate Life Can Be Challenging For Introverts First, itâs important to understand why corporate life is such a conflict for introverts. Time and again introverts find corporate life to be the antithesis to what they believe in. While introverts tend to believe in fairness and openness, a corporation may have the propensity to believe in generating profit and sustaining a rigid structure, often at the expense of their workers. But which workers get it the worst? The introverts! In essence, the workers who are least likely to build surface level relationships and stand up for themselves. In other words, introverts see corporate life as the epitome of growing a profit-driven entity that rewards extroverts and social ladder climbers and shuns introverts because theyâre more authentic and emotional. Introverts also prefer to avoid situations that can be slightly intimidating, like dealing with a confrontation head-on or running a meeting â" skills that are needed to excel in corporate institutions. While itâs certainly less difficult in a non-profit organization, the fundamentals of a hierarchical structure are still ingrained in a non-profit organizationâs DNA, furthering the innate challenge for introverts. What introverts truly want is to be a part of something bigger than themselves and make a positive impact. This is particularly why introverts look outside of Corporate America and look for ways to live their lives on their own terms, which is at the heart of turning your side hustle into your full-time job. What is a Side Hustle and Why is it Beneficial for Introverts to Start One? The silver lining is that all hope is not lost; there is still the side hustle. According to side hustle extraordinaire Lauren Greutman, a side hustle is a second job that not only brings in money but also allows you the flexibility to work your full-time. A few examples of common side hustles: Becoming an online marketing specialist Freelance writing about health-related articles Teaching an online course on LinkedIn Learning (formerly known as Lynda.com) Tutoring on the weekends for kids in inner cities Teaching your own fashion or beauty course like an eyelash training course Pursuing a side hustle is beneficial to introverts because it allows them to tap into fields that they strongly care about. Introverts struggle with the typical 9-to-5 jobs because those jobs command an insurmountable amount of social interaction. Not only that, but that interaction is half of the battle for moving up the corporate ladder. Furthermore, introverts can benefit from side hustles because side hustles can become a creative and emotional outlet. If these individuals are lucky enough, their side hustles will eventually become their full-time jobs, and from there they can decide when and how they will interact with other people (an introvertâs dream). Actionable Steps for Introverts to Turn Their Side Hustles into Full-Time Jobs Managing a full-time job, nonetheless one that you dislike, with a part-time business, that you hope youâll one day make your full-time job, demands time, energy, effort, and investment. Itâs honestly harder for introverts because all of these aspects necessitate putting yourself out there and stepping out of your comfort zone: things that donât come easily to most introverts. The good news is that there are real, actionable steps for an introvert to turn his or her side hustle into a full-time job. Step 1: Find Your Why Introverts devote their lives to being purposeful; however, a person cannot be purposeful if he or she does not embody a purpose. The Start With Why organization believe that itâs crucial for people to know what theyâre fighting for, otherwise itâs too easy to give up or lose focus. This could not be more accurate than in the world of business, where battling and fighting for ground is a daily occurrence. Every single day is about the hustle and the grind to get things done and get closer to the person you want to be. Thatâs why you need to know your purpose. Doing so will allow you to be resilient in the face of defeat and adversity. Step 2: Find Your Idea and Figure Out How to Make Income from It Itâs not just about having a business idea that youâre passionate about. Thatâs only the beginning. As an introvert, itâs imperative that the idea is aligned with your passion, if not, youâll run the risk of abandoning it once the going gets tough. It wonât be your fault; itâs human nature, especially for introverts. But your idea has to make an income or else itâs not worth pursuing. If youâre not making income from it, then itâs really just a hobby. Find your idea (and make sure itâs important to you), do your research, and trace each and every step of the customerâs journey. Go from the moment a user interacts with you or your product and every step afterwards. Then, figure out where your users are and how you can attract them to you. It might be a lot at first, but with substantial research and experimentation, you wonât only be on your way to turning your side hustle into your full-time job â" youâll be turning your dream into your reality. Step 3: Absorb Information from People Whoâve Succeeded What they never teach you in business school is that itâs impossible to maintain high levels of success day in, day out. Weâre only human, and humans have the proclivity to get tired, emotional, and overwhelmed. But if you stay in tune with the business world through the eyes of people who have turned their side hustles into their full-time jobs and have never looked back, youâll be around good company (literally and figuratively). Thatâs why you should read as many career books, business books, podcasts, interviews, and blog posts as you can. Absorb it all. The more you take in, the clearer your vision will be. Youâll be able to split the information that resonates with you and the information that doesnât. Youâll find your truth, and youâll use it for inspiration as you fully turn your side hustle into your job as the career youâve dreamt of your life. And, of course, youâll learn things you never thought of from people who have done what youâre looking to do, one step at a time. And we all know introverts love to learn! Bio:
Making Practice FUN - 2 Ways to Spice Things Up
Making Practice FUN - 2 Ways to Spice Things Up Suzy S. Is practicing your instrument becoming more of a chore than an enjoyable pastime? Check out these tips from Hayward, CA and online teacher Molly R. for making practice fun and getting out of the rut: Sometimes as students and teachers, we lose sight of some pretty important things in music making: personality⦠and plain FUN! Sure, there may be a handful of musicians out there that wow with their impeccable technique. But is that really enough? Think of yourself as an audience member for a moment and ask yourself which performances are the ones you really remember: the ones that appeared flawless, or those that touched you in some way? We should ask ourselves the same thing as a musician in our day-to-day lives. Do you want to be perfect, or do you want to be interesting? It all starts in the studio or practice room. Here are some ways to get out of your head and to start bringing the fun back into making music: Are you a singer? Well, if youâre learning a âseriousâ aria, why not sing it in the style of Katy Perry or Beyonce? Why not rap it? Instrumentalists the same applies to you! Say youâre doing a jazz or classical piece thatâs pretty difficult . Stand up and rock it Jerry Lee Lewis style and really use your body and attitude (no oneâs looking! Go, Killer, go!). How about our basic warm ups? Those donât have to be boring, either. Sing your scales using nonsense words. Swing the rhythms! Dance or sway or stomp and clap. Make funny faces. Use your imagination the options are limitless! Now after you have done some of these âcrazyâ (but hopefully fun!) things, sing or play as âyou.â Record yourself. Are you amazed at the difference? You should be. Something magical just happened. By allowing yourself to cut loose , you will do wonders for your singing and playing. When the mind relaxes, so does the body! As I tell my students, practicing should NEVER be a chore. There are plenty of ways for making practice fun by mixing it up and simply playing. My rule is âfirst, make it fun.â After all, isnât that why you got into music in the first place? Molly R. teaches online and in-person singing lessons in Hayward, CA.
